【摘要】:Thesorptionofwatercanresultinanincreaseinweightandaresultantpotentialdegradationofthepropertiesoftheinsulation.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheamountofwatervaporsorbedbymineralfiberinsulationexposedtoahigh-humidityatmosphere.Thistestmethodisapplicableonlytofibrousbasematerialandbinder.Theresultsobtainedbythistestmethodcannotbeusedindescribingfacedproducts,sincethefacingisnottestedbyusingthistestmethod.1.2Thewatervaporsorptioncharacteristicsofmaterialsmaybeaffectedbyconditionssuchaselevatedtemperaturesorchemicalexposures.Valuesobtainedasaresultofthistestmethodmaynotadequatelydescribethewatervaporsorptioncharacteristicsofmaterialssubjectedtotheseconditions.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents,therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
