【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversflexiblewatertightjointsforconcretepipeandprecastmanholesections,usingrubbergasketsforsealingthejoints,whereinfiltrationorexfiltrationisafactorinthedesign.Thespecificationcoversthedesignofjointsandtherequirementsforrubbergasketstobeusedtherewith,forpipeconforminginallotherrespectstoSpecificationC14,SpecificationC76,orSpecificatonC507andprecastmanholesectionconforminginallotherrespectstoSpecificationC478,providedthatifthereisconflictinpermissiblevariationsindimensionstherequirementsofthisspecificationforjointsshallgovern.1.2AcompletemetriccompaniontoSpecificationC443hasbeendeveloped-C443M;therefore,nometricequivalentsarepresentedinthisspecification.Note18212;Thisspecificationcoversthedesign,material,andperformanceoftherubbergasketjointonly.Jointscoveredbythisspecificationarenormallyadequateforhydrostaticpressuresupto13psi(30ft)withoutleakage,whentestedinaccordancewithSection.Infiltrationorexfiltrationquantitiesforaninstalledpipelinearedependentuponmanyfactorsotherthanthejoints,andallowablequantitiesmustbecoveredbyotherspecificationsandsuitabletestingoftheinstalledpipelineandsystem.
